The Therapeutics Education Collaboration (TEC) Podcast

The TEC Podcasts are co-hosted by Dr. James McCormack a Professor and Pharmacist from the University of British Columbia and Dr Michael Allan, an Associate Professor and Family Physician from the University of Alberta . They have been doing the Podcasts for the last 18 months and have been getting a very good response in Canada and beyond - #1 Medical Podcast at present and almost always in the top 3 Medical Podcasts - and in the top 15-20 in the States (and a number of other countries). Approximately 15,000 - 20,000 podcasts are downloaded a month. Each weekly Podcast runs between 20 and 40 minutes and they present important and interesting therapeutic issues with an approach that is practical, sometimes controversial and hopefully, most of the time, entertaining. On occasion, Mike and James often invite "experts" to join in to add to the content and overall mayhem.

The messages are very pertinent and relevant to family physicians, pharmacists and also medical/pharmacy students, residents, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants etc. In addition, a number of non-medical people are becoming regular listeners.
